A sűrített levegő kezelésének célja, hogy a sűrített levegő:
- is largely free of foreign bodies, foreign matter and water. Water increases the risk of corrosion, combines with oil to form emulsions and thus impairs the antifriction properties of moving parts.
- is adjusted to the required operating pressure.
- either contains or does not contain lubricant (depending on technological requirements).
